Podcasts are a great way to consume information while you are also doing something else at the same time, like while on a biking adventure, exercising, or while at work to help you get through the week!

It is a great way to make a bike tour that much more fun especially if you are solo traveling, it can get lonely at times. Having a companion like a podcast to listen to can put your mind at ease.

Below is a complete list of all the best bikepacking, bike touring and adventure cycling podcasts that exist on the internet! I tried my best to find all the podcasts that I could which mention something about this world of bike travel. If I missed any which I am sure I may have feel free to message me and let me know.

There is not really one ‘best’ bikepacking podcast out there as so many of them tell of great stories and talk about bikepakcing in very unique and interesting ways. So below I have compiled a list of all the podcasts. So fell free to go check them out and listen away!

Pedalshift Project

The Pedalshift Project talks about everything bike touring lifestyle. Their philosophy is all about sharing ideas and knowing that there isn’t only one way to do it. Global solo bicycle touring expeditions are amazing, but so are the weekend trips with your friends.

The Dropper Post

The Dropper Post podcast dives deep into bikepacking culture, where they go in-depth to tell stories about the people, companies and routes that define the sport.

The Hidden Athlete Podcast

The Hidden Athlete Podcast is all about bikepacking ultra events. Some recommended episodes are 4, 6, 7, 13, 18 and 29. The podcast delves into the lives of the humble elite endurance athlete who has achieved incredible things with little or no public recognition. A really great podcast idea that is wonderful to listen to. Highly recommended!!

Race Ride Seek

Another great bikepakcing podcast is the Race Ride Seek Podcast by Jesse Carlsson and the Curve Crew talk cycling adventures. Chatting with cyclists on a mission, whether they Race, Ride or Seek. Defiantly worth checking out!

The Bike Karma Bicycle Podcast

Another broader look at bicycle culture, the Bike Karma Bicycle Podcast is friendly place for anyone who loves any type of bicycle to make connections with other bicycle enthusiasts from inside and outside of their own camps. A cool episode was the one with Seven Shurygin about touring in the desert.

The Broom Wagon

The broom Wagon is a podcast about stories and interviews with bicycle people and about bicycle adventures. A great episode is when Stefano talks with Andy Buchs, the creator of some of the best bike adventures in the world.

The Cycling Podcast, Explore Series

Explore is a Cycling Podcast series looking at the world of bikepacking, endurance and ultra-endurance riding. Join Lionel Birnie, Hannah Troop and Tom Whalley as they speak to people who have ridden round the world, raced across continents, tackled the grand tours, set new records, or undertaken challenges that have pushed them to their limits.

Mountain Podcast

The Mountain Podcast is one that tells inspiring stories of those who love and connect with wild places. Stories of climbers, mountaineers and explorers. A bikepacking related episode is with Adventure cyclist Lee Craigie who went Bikepacking coast-to-coast across Scotland.

Mid-Atlantic Gravel, Travel & Dirt

A podcast for all you gravel cyclists out there! The podcast talks about gravel bikes, gravel cycling, bikepacking, bike camping, a little bit of mountain bike and they even dip their toes into road cycling.

The Desolationist podcast

The Desolationist Podcast is all about, “using adventure to harness the infinite and divine in our wretched, dirty souls. And, we like to party.” Some episodes that are a great listen is the Chris Plesko- Ain’t No Half Steppin’ and the Alexandera Houchin – Little Flexes episodes.

The Adventure Sports Podcast

This podcast is not a dedicated bikepacking podcast but they do have quiet a few episodes related to biking that might be worth checking out. The Adventure Sports Podcast is an in-depth interview into the lives of adventure sports enthusiasts around the globe. You’ll hear from outfitters, guides, instructors, authors and many more who live their lives to the fullest.

Dirtbag Diaries

The Dirtbag Diaries has some good podcasts about bike adventures. It is the original outdoor adventure podcast. They take on the idea of campfire tails which is popular in mountain culture. Here is a story about Tandem bike adventures to get you started.

Bikepack Canada Podcast

If you are in Canada and want to listen to some bikepacking stories, this podcast is a good idea. Bikepack Canada started in 2016 by the late Ryan Correy. They want to bring together new friends that have an interest in self-supported mountain bike touring and racing in the backcountry. Listen to it here

Sprocket Podcast

A weekly Podcast! Their slogan is “simplifying the good life”, a group of guys who chat about everything, about stories of their weekly cycling exploits and anything related to cycling, the non Lycra sort that is. The podcast is recorded in a 1967 Airstream trailer in Portland. Listen Here

The Path Less Pedaled Podcast

Path Less Pedaled Podcast is more about gravael biking and the contemporary bicycling culture. They have a easy going feel to them. Listen Here.

The Bike Show

The Bike Show is a UK based podcast about everything cycling. That began life in 2004 as a weekly radio show on  radio art station Resonance 104.4fm in central London. A complete archive is available here. It is the broader topic of cycling and there are some related podcasts dedicated to our niche of fun! Listen Here

Zero to Travel

Again more broadly a travel podcast it has inspired some people to get out there a bike tour. The podcast has a 5-6 episode series focused on bike touring. A favourite episode is the Solo Adventure Cycling Around The World: Epic Bike Rides With Shirine Taylor episode. All the episodes are worth a listen. The entire podcast is good for travel and location independence inspiration, but its rarely bike based outside this series.

The Joyride Podcast

Is all about celebrating women on bikes. They have not made many episodes as of writing this blog post. But the Let’s talk bikes, adventure, and camping with Molly Sugar and Jocelyn Quarrell of WTF Bikexplorers is a good episode to get started listing to.

The Pursuit Zone

Is another adventure travel podcast thats goal is to inspire and challenge people to escape their comfort zones by combining their dreams and ambition with a healthy dose of pursuit. They Interview people that dream big, get out of their comfort zones, and take on ambitious pursuits. People that have positive and interesting stories to tell. Travelers, adventure athletes, authors, filmmakers, or volunteers in remote parts of the world.
