So you’re after some of the most cost effective gravel bikes on the market? These bikes listed below are some of the cheapest bikes you can buy to get out gravel grinding.
I try to only recommend bikes that I would personally ride. Especially since writing many articles about the best types of gravel articles lately.
However this write up is going to slightly differ and solely be about the price. Meaning these are the most affordable gravel bikes that money can buy.
If some bikes are cheap enough to make this list but are completely junk I am just not going to even mention it. Honestly they still need to be somewhat decent to make it in this list, I just can’t bring myself to recommend bikes that are complete trash.
But having that said here are some of the most affordable gravel bikes.

Depending on where you want to ride. With a versatile front fork that has many cargo cage braze ons for all the hauling you could ever need. Featuring State Bicycle Co own 1 x 11 drivetrain. Which gives you a 42 t front crank and 11-42 at the rear. With the 650b x 2.1″ tires, resulting in a climbing gear of 27.19″ which is rather limited for a gravel bike. But for a bargain price of $799.99 if you plan to ride long and straight gravel roads this might be the smart choice.
I struggled to find accurate information of this bikes geometry. But some owners recommend this for a bikepacking bike. Thanks to the long rear end which helps it track straight and not feel twitchy. The 42 tooth crank at the front is too large in my opinion. And I would change it out for a smaller one say 36t to get better climbing results. Other then that a great pick up for such a cheap price.
Tommaso Siena
A gravel bike you can buy directly off Amazon.com I personally don’t really rate this bike, just looking at it it does look rather cheap and I am not sure how it would hold up on some of the gravel riding I like to do. But i thought I would mention it as it is one of the least expensive gravel bikes you can buy.
