Gravel Handlebar Bags
Wacking some bags on your gravel bike can turn it into an adventure machine. Especially if your gravel bike is optimized for cycling adventures.
It’s worth noting that not all gravel bikes are created equal when it comes to adventuring. As some a much more suited to aggressive racing positioning.
Even still these Burriot Handlebars bags are a great addition to just about any gravel bike setup. Racing or touring!
I have been personally using this bag
But if you want an in-depth guide to some of the Best Small Handlebar Bags Or Burrito Bags For Day Rides then that has you covered!
A personal favorite would have to be this bag
As it also doubles up as a cross-body bag for those off-bike excursions.
Also if you want some larger handlebar bags for those epic month-long plus adventures.
These bags are worth checking out, and also great for those looking to commute.
I personally use this one for my bigger bike trips
Gravel Dropper Posts
I am still to put together a gravel bike dropper posts guide
But having that said dropper posts are all the rave these days, especially in the gravel market
With quite a few gravel bikes coming out with dropper posts already on them
It seems common for the more mtb inspired & adventure ready gravel bikes to come with dropper posts, not all but some do
But what if you have a gravel bike that didn’t?
Well, this is the gravel dropper post I have personally looking at getting for my early model Kona Sutra LTD.
But stay tuned as I do more research and compare more gravel-specific dropper posts to find some of the best options!
Also worth looking further into is suspension seat posts.
As most gravel grinders like to push their bikes beyond limits and unfortunately some gravel bikes are limited when it comes to off-road comfort, especially on the really rough stuff.
These suspension posts dampen quite a lot of the trail chatter!

Gravel Suspension Fork
Some gravel bikes are limited when it comes to vibration dampening and on-bike comfort.
I think it comes back to the average tire clearance you get on most gravel bikes
With an often average clearance of about 50 mm
And especially if you plan to ride with extra weight on the bike in the form of camping gear for gravel bikepacking adventures. And also plan to ride on challenging single-track terrain.
I found from personal experience that its not quite enough comfort for those long days in the saddle
After a few hours, the arms start hurting
The solution?
It would have been ideal to run the suspension fork on the gravel bike in those moments
And guess what? You can
But only on select gravel bike frames can accommodate suspension fork adaptability.
But it would definitely be a game-changer.
Some suspension forks like this one have up to 60 mm travel for all the upfront comfort your heart (I mean arms) desire.
Gravel Saddle Bags
Gravel saddle bags add that extra storage you need for a quick overnight bikepacking gravel camping trip
There are so many saddlebags on the market to choose from
This gravel bikepacking saddle bag is a great place to start
Also here are more gravel bike bags, with top tube, frame, and other bike bag options. To fully optimize you for your next gravel griding adventure.
Flared and Wide Gravel Drop Bars
Having some wide drop bars on your gravel or adventure bike seems like the ultimate choice.
I can only tell you from experience with 50 mm bars.
I know they are not the widest options out there, but they just feel so right!
But as wider and wider drop bar options hit the market, I am wondering if I should get some really wide ones like the Curve Walmer bar.
However, flared drop bars do provide extra comfort when riding in the drops.
As the larger distance it creates it helps spread your shoulders and make everything feel more comfortable.
Also, make sure to check out all the other gear I personally use on my touring gravel bike. That allows me to explore anywhere in the world.
That’s it for this guide, hopefully, it gave you some more gravel bike accessories ideas for your gravel bike
See you out there!
