If you want to read more about other bikepacking and touring handlebar options. I wrote another article with many other bars, which I recommend you to read after this one.

Velo Orange Crazy Bar

These bars are intended to be used for touring on paved and unpaved roads. But they are also suited to gravel grinding as well. The widest point of these bars are 67cm. This creates rather good control on rough surfaces and around town. The Bullhorn section of the bars provide a streamlined position for smoother roads and headwinds. Theses Crazy bars have different bar area sizes. The main bar is 22.2mm so MTB grips, levers, and shifters fit. The “horns” are 23.8mm, so road levers – including inverse levers – fit, as do bar-end shifters. Clamp area is 25.4mm. Made from 6061 aluminum and heat treated, these bars weigh around 450 grams and you also get a 45 degree sweep. Priced from $75.00

On-One Mickey Handlebar

The availability of some of these bars will be much harder to find. These are available in the UK from Planet X and for a rather cheap price. It has much less sweep then the Jones bar at 9 degrees. But it is a supremely comfortable low rise, MTB style flat bar that has been transformed into the perfect Touring, Bike Packing and Adventure riding handlebar. If you are someone who prefers a more flat MTB bar setup compared to a drop bar then the On-One Mickey bars might be a great choice for you. It has easy ergonomics, plenty of width for the broadest shoulders and front facing luggage bar it’s perfect for any bikepacking or cycle touring adventure. Has a rise of 14 mm, the bar weighs in at 476 grams and you get a handlebar that is 760mm wide. Priced from only £24.99

Surly Open Bar

A upright handlebar design, that is equally suited to cruising, commuting and even some singletrack. Designed with a little bit of flex to take some of the harsh out of your ride. The angle makes it comfy for your wrists. The width enables loads of control. Surly Moloko Handlebar

These Surly Moloko bars offer quiet a similar handling position as the Jones H Bars. You even get the option to have a custom fitted Surly Bag that mounts inside the bar. This handlebar offers a multitude of hand positions to keep you comfortable and in control over the course of a long day riding on varied terrain. You also get a variety of mounting potential all over this handlebar. Dangle a handlebar bag from it, strap some lights to it, throw a GPS on it (if that’s your thing), and ride all day. It comes in at a standard width of 735mm but if you want a shorter bar you can cut it down to 685mm with given cut marks to make the alteration. Available for those of you who are located in the UK, these handlebars cost only £24.99 and they have heaps in stock. Mary is On-One’s classic alt-bar. They like to call it their extreme sweep riser bar. It’s a bit odd, but makes a lot of sense once you give it a go. They two different clamp options come in different weights. 25.4mm bar clamp is 306 grams and the 31.8mm bar clamp is 289 grams.
